Russian authorities run disinformation campaigns in traditional and social media, targeting both Russian and international societies and audiences. How are the Kremlin's campaigns managed? What are their aims and objectives? How is disinformation connected to other kinds of influence operations? How has it developed over time? And what can societies and governments do to counter the problem? Since 2015, EU's East StratCom Task Force has addressed the Kremlin's disinformation campaigns on behalf of the 28 EU member states, and Denmark has been a part of the task force since it started operating. How does East Stratcom view the problem of Kremlin disinformation three years into its mandate? Which initiatives from the EU and other actors have been successful, and where have the challenges been?
