A professor, Global North and a young activist, Global South discuss how they promote climate action
Mere om
Whether from the Global North or South, we are all facing the consequences of climate change. SDG 13 is the most urgent of the SDGs, as climate change is a crisis multiplier on all other aspects of sustainable development. The Global North bears a heavy responsibility with it’s heavy carbon and ressource footprint due to unsustainable production and consumption patterns. The Global South is facing the dire consequences of global warming already with droughts, floodings, famine and other crisis that follow. This talk features an international leading professor within oceanography and climate change, and young climate activists, all fighting to accellerate climate action. Be inspired by this conversation between a professor from the Global North and young activists from the Global South when they discuss how they all try to push for climate action from each their perspective, what are the greatest challenges, and what is needed to reach the SDGs and Paris Agreement.
