Mere om

Youth-led Development: Nothing about us without us Dreamtown and SOS Børnebyerne invites young participants, youth organizations and the civil society sector to test their blind spots and discuss how civil society organizations and political actors can engage and support young people locally in all stages of development efforts. Focus will be on the localization, representation, and youth involvement agenda. In combining presentations and discussion hubs we create a space for young participants from Denmark and the global majority to contribute to the conversation. Two hubs will dive into the theme ‘Reframe the message’. At these hubs the participants will explore constructive and inclusive language and visual representation of young people. Two hubs will dive into the theme ‘Youth-led engagement’ based on concrete strategies used for youth participation. Both hubs will discuss applied practices and come up with recommendations for better youth involvement globally.
