How do youth and veterans work together to rebuild Ukraine during an ongoing war?
Mere om
This talk explores the intersection of veteran reintegration and youth leadership in Ukraine. Representatives from the Voices of Defenders project share insights into the often invisible challenges veterans face when returning to civilian life, including trauma, identity shifts and the need for better support and communication. At the same time, the conversation highlights how young people are stepping into active leadership roles today - as volunteers, organisers and drivers of change in their communities. From humanitarian aid to strengthening local civil society, youth play a crucial role in sustaining Ukraine. The session invites the audience into an open and honest dialogue on how young people, civil society, communication and international partnerships can help build resilience and support UkraineĘĽs future. The project, Voices of Defenders, is supported by CISU and developed in partnership between KFUM og KFUK Danmark and YMCA Lviv.
